Courtney Tairi
After suffering a knee injury that would end most sporting careers, Courtney Tairi has used it as motivation to recreate herself, and this year she will look to be a key factor in a year of rebuilding for the NSW Swifts.

Natasha Van Eldik
In a sport where age brings a wealth of experience to your game, 19 year old Natasha Van Eldik is rising through the ranks of lawn bowls with no fear. The Raymond Terrace junior has recently been included in the Commonwealth Games squad for the upcoming Games in October 2010.

Kieran Govers
No one was more surprised than Kieran Govers when he was given the call up to the Kookaburras World Cup Hockey squad. After all, he had recently recovered from a major injury and in January this year had only just been added to the AIS and senior men’s squad.

Robert Hurley
In 2009 Robert Hurley came out of the woodwork and competed at his first FINA World Swimming Championships. Following the championships, Hurley’s results have some within the swimming community saying that he may be the savior of men’s long distance freestyle in Australia.
