When Delhi was named as the host of the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the decision was seen as the gateway for India to enter the world sporting stage. The Games are scheduled to be the largest multi-sport event ever held in the city and will undoubtedly be a once in a lifetime spectacle in one of the world’s most populated countries. 

The Institute is expected to send a strong contingent of athletes to the subcontinent. While it’s not likely to be the same size as the delegation for the 2006 Melbourne Games, there are already a number of athletes who have qualified.

From October 3 - 14, 2010, Delhi will host the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
