NSWIS track & field athletes have clocked some promising results at this weekend's Sydney Track Classic.
Reigning world champion Dani Samuels was the pick of the results, claiming gold in the women's discus by over eight metres. Samuels threw the discus 65.84 to win, 40cm further than the throw that won her the world championship in Berlin last year.
Other medallists from the event were Ryan Gregson who won gold in the men's 1500m and Youcef Abdi who finished with a silver medal in the men's 3000m steeplechase.
