Leaping to gold

Long jumper Fabrice Lapierre has become the Institute's latest world champion after claiming gold at the 2010 Indoor World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

After fouls with his first two jumps, Lapierre then went on to record three straight jumps over eight metres, including his gold medal winning performance of 8.17 metres.

Lapierre's gold was coupled by fellow Australian Mitchell Watt claiming bronze.
