Palmer chases gold

28 July 2010

Squash athlete David Palmer will line up to complete his Commonwealth Games medal collection after he, and fellow NSWIS athlete Donna Urquhart were named on the Australian team to compete at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

The two time world champion has never won gold at the Commonwealth Games, taking home one silver and four bronze medals from the Games since Kuala Lumpur in 1998.

Urquhart will be making her Commonwealth Games debut in Delhi, and will be looking to continue Australia's strong tradition of success. Australia has claimed every women's singles gold medal since the sport's inception since 1998.

Australia has won 22 squash medals since 1998; six gold, seven silver and nine bronze.
