NSWIS Emerging Athlete Programs (EAP)
The NSWIS Emerging Athlete Program is the entry level into the scholarship program. The program focuses on educating athletes making the transition from junior to senior ranks. The primary focus is on accessing coaching and strength and conditioning opportunities.
The NSWIS Emerging Athlete Program has enjoyed a history of success, with some of Australia's, and the world's, best athletes graduating through the program.
NSWIS track & field star Dani Samuels was a product of the EAP and has now become the world's best female discus athlete. During her time with NSWIS, Samuels won the world youth, world junior and world senior championship in the women's discus, becoming only the seventh athlete to win gold at world youth, junior and senior level. Samuels joins the likes of former NSWIS athlete Jana Rawlinson and athletics superstar Usain Bolt.
