Sports Individual Scholarships

The NSWIS Individual Scholarship Program was established to provide financial assistance and support services to high performing athletes in non NSWIS Squad Sports.

The program was established in recognition that non NSWIS squad sport athletes are  often required to operate in isolation and without the support of an Institute High Performance Squad Program.

Information on selection criteria for NSWIS Individual Scholarships is included on the application form.

In 2008, the NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) established a scholarship program called Campaign 2008 to assist NSW athletes with their preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2008. The aim of this program is to provide support to NSW based athletes, who are not currently associated with an NSWIS squad sport or the Individual Scholarship program, in their preparation for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. Campaign 2008 scholarships are active from the date an application is approved until the conclusion of the  Paralympic Games in September 2008.
