Top 10 for Dallas

17/03/2010

NSWIS athlete Shannon Dallas has posted his first top 10 finish of the 2010 Winter Paralympic Games by finishing sixth in the men's sitting giant slalom this morning.

Dallas was in sixth place after the first run thanks to a time of 1:23.10, and stayed in sixth position at the conclusion of the two races with a combined time of 2:49.52.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Bart Bunting was in action today in the men's visually impaired giant slalom. Bunting was joined by guide Nathan Chivers in the event, and clocked a time of 1:28.85 to be in 14th after the first run. A finish similar to his 2002 campaign, where he claimed silver, was not to be as he did not start the second run.
