Andrew Hoy is one of Australia’s most successful sportsmen, having won three gold and one silver medal at three Olympic Games.

As an NSWIS athlete Hoy carried the Australian flag at the opening ceremony of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, before going on to win gold in the three day event team competition.

Hoy’s success in Atlanta continued through to the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games where he went on to win another gold medal in the three day event, as well as silver in the individual three day event.
