ClubsNSW

ClubsNSW has been the principal partner of NSWIS since 1995, providing over $1 million a year in sponsorship support.  This annual contribution from ClubsNSW ensures that the NSWIS remains one of Australia's leading sporting Institutes.

In addition to this support, individual clubs around NSW have also sponsored the Institute's sport programs such as the Mingara Recreation Centre on the Central Coast, which is also a NSWIS Central High Performance Centre.

As the industry's peak body, ClubsNSW provides a wide range of services for over 1400 member clubs including Workplace Relations, Government Relations, a Member Enquiry Centre, Club Directors' Institute, ClubsNSW Financial Services and Responsible Gambling Services through the ClubSAFE program.

There are over 5.5 million club memberships held in NSW, which is equivalent to one for each adult in NSW. The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales (IPART) calculated that the dollar value of clubs' social contribution is $811million per annum.

Sporting facilities maintained by the Club Industry include around 1,550 bowling greens, 365 golf courses, 165 playing fields, 80 gyms and 66 swimming pools. ClubsNSW supports a myriad of charities, sports teams and other organisations.

Employ an Athlete Program.

The NSWIS and ClubsNSW have also joined together to deliver an initiative called the Employ an Athlete Program.

To couple the Employ an Athlete Program, the NSWIS and ClubsNSW have developed a Registered Training Facility program, whereby athletes without access to the NSWIS facilities are able to train at registered training facilities of ClubsNSW Member Clubs.

The NSWIS would like to thank ClubsNSW for their ongoing support. For further information about ClubsNSW visit:
