The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) Canoe Sprint Program is supported as an international campaign program in partnership with Australian Canoe (AC).
The program targets approximately 12 athletes to achieve national and international success in line with the national program direction and targets. The NSWIS provides a campaign focused training environment for NSWIS athletes by supporting targeted coaches and athletes overseen and coordinated by AC.
The program is delivered through a decentralised ‘local’ squad based approach with athletes training from a variety of locations including the National Centre of Excellence in QLD, northern Sydney (Narabeen), Illawarra and agreed national bases.
Additionally, centralised crew combinations and servicing is based at the NSWIS at Sydney Olympic Park.
