The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) Hockey Program is supported as an international development program in partnership with Hockey Australia (HA) and Hockey NSW (HNSW).
The program provides support to male and female athletes competing at a national and international level in both open and junior categories. The NSWIS provides the daily training environment for these athletes by supporting high performance training opportunities and an integrated talent approach to maximise outcomes for future international success from emerging talent to developing international.
In partnership with HNSW, the program is underpinned by a dedicated Emerging Talent Squad that provides a pathway for up and coming athletes to the NSWIS scholarship program.
Offering over 40 scholarships annually, the program's major competition focus is on the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Cup, Champions Trophy and Junior World Cup.
