Amelia Hodgson is a sighted guide that works with and competes with para-alpine skier, Patrick Jensen.

Together with Patrick, she was selected for her first Australian Paralympic team for the 2022 Beijing Winter Games.

Amelia grew up skiing and went on to become a ski instructor and then a coach. She was then asked to be a sighted guide and began working with Patrick in 2019.

The pair had a breakthrough 2019/20 season, claiming their first world cup medal, a bronze in Super-G, at the opening world cup event in Veysonnaz, Switzerland followed by two bronze medals in the slalom at the Prato Nevoso World Cup in Italy.

Patrick competed at his second Paralympic Games – the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Games, with the guidance of Amelia and together they achieved three top-ten finishes.

The duo were named to the Australian Team to compete in all five Para alpine skiing disciplines, competing in the vision impaired classification and enjoyed success in the men’s super-g, finishing in sixth as well as the slalom and downhill events where they earned respective eighth-place finishes.
