Taylah O’Neill is an Australian freestyle skier that competes in the mogul skiing discipline. She was selected for her second Australian Olympic team for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games.

Born in Sydney, Taylah made her international debut in 2009, before joining the world cup circuit in 2010. She competed at the 2012 Junior World Championships in Valmalenco, Italy, where she placed 5th

Making her Olympic debut at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, Taylah had a goal of making the top 20. The 19-year-old advanced through to the first round of finals where she finished in 16th place.

Following her Olympic performance, the NSW Institute of Sport scholarship holder suffered a complete rupture of the ACL in her right knee. A combination of performance and injury prevented a second Games in PyeongChang.

After missing out on the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, Taylah went on to compete at the 2019 World Ski Championships where she competed in moguls and dual moguls placing 13th and 16th respectively.

At the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, Taylah bravely took to the start line despite a torn ACL, suffered during a training run ahead of the Games period. While she couldn’t put down the run she had hoped for in Beijing, the dual Olympian proved that just getting to the start gate was a 2022 Olympic victory, opting to ski outside the flags and not record an official score (DNF) before withdrawing from competition due to injury.
