NSWIS scholarship holders Jess Fox and Lucien Delfour have both qualified for semi-finals in their respective C1 and K1 heat events.
After claiming bronze in the K1 event on Tuesday, Fox managed to finish in second position in her first run, finishing 2.45 behind Great Britain’s Mallory Franklin with a time of 109.96, inclusive of 4 penalty seconds. In the second heat of the event, Fox finished in fifth position with a time of 110.93, securing her place in the semi-final on Thursday.

In the men’s K1 event, Lucien Delfour finished second in his first run with a time of 91.10, 0.18 behind Italy’s Giovanni de Gennaro. In his second run he finished in third position with a time of 91.12, securing his place in Friday’s semi-final.
