Triathletes from the NSW Institute of Sport have been atop the podium at the Australian Triathlon Championships in Devonport on the weekend.
Emma Jeffcoat won the elite women’s event, claiming the gold in a time of 01:01:59.
Lauren Parker took out the Australian Paratriathlon Championship in the PTWC women’s class in a time of 01:08:42. Parker’s win in Devonport will boost her confidence as she continues to work towards this year’s Paralympics in Tokyo.
Wheelchair paratriathlete Nic Beveridge won the men’s PTWC event in a time of 01:07:56.
Under 23 triathlete Josh Ferris narrowly missed the podium, finishing fifth in the under 23 category and sixth in the elite men’s with a time of 00:56:49, only twenty seconds behind third place.
