NSWIS scholarship holder and 16-year-old rising talent Jesse Parkinson has became just the 5th Australian snowboarder ever to land a backside-triple-cork 1440. Jesse landed the trick earlier this week while training in New Zealand.
It’s a huge milestone in any snowboarder’s journey and at just 16 years of age, Jesse now proudly joins the ranks alike Scotty James, Angus Waddington and Valentino Guseli.
Landing his impressive triple, Jesse has become the second youngest snowboarder to master the trick.
Jesse first took up snowboarding at 9 years of age following a family holiday to Niseko, Japan where he quickly fell in love with the sport. Now Jesse, a member of NSWIS’ Park & Pipe program, has made his mark as one of Australia’s best emerging talents and as ‘one to watch’.
