No snow? No worries – Snowboarders enjoy summer training camp

Snowboard cross athletes from the NSW Institute of Sport have come together for a week-long summer camp in Jindabyne.

After being unable to travel overseas for competition last year, the camp was focused around getting the team together and kickstarting 2021 so the athletes are ready for the domestic and international seasons.

Members of the NSWIS moguls squad were also able to join for several sessions.

As part of the camp, athletes made use of two Evolve electric skateboards to support their off snow training. As well as skateboarding, athletes went mountain-biking, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking and used the off-snow training ramps at the Jindabyne Sport & Recreation Centre.

Taking part in the camp with their coach Jason Clauscen was Declan Dent, Finn Sadler, Christina Taylor, Kye Chaplin, Josie Baff and Kobi Dent.

Watch what the athletes got up to throughout the week.
