World cup wraps up in style

The 2011 FINA World Cup wrapped up over the weekend in Tokyo with more medals for NSWIS swimmers Robert Hurley and Olivia Halicek.

Hurley won gold in the men’s 400m freestyle in a time of 3:42.44, winning by over a second to take his second consecutive gold medal in the event following the Beijing world cup.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Halicek also found herself on the medal dais, taking silver in the women’s 50m freestyle and bronze in the women’s 50m breaststroke.
