In partnership with Basketball Australia, the NSWIS Wheelchair Basketball Program aims to develop world class athletes capable of winning gold medals at benchmark events.
Currently the program has the Gliders Captain for Tokyo 2020 Georgia Munro-Cook, national Rollers & Gliders athletes with emerging talent.
The program has previously supported a host of talented wheelchair basketballs including three-time Paralympian Kylie Gauci, who was named in the All Star Five at the 2006 World Championships and won a silver medallist at the 2012 London Games. The program also supported four-time Brett Stibners, who won gold at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games with the Aussie Rollers.
