Rowing Australia (RA) has honoured its highest achievers, greatest contributors and most dedicated community members in a gala event that also saw its Patron, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, awarded the inaugural Service to Rowing Award.
New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS) scholarship holder Emily Sheppard celebrated her being a member of Australia’s Women’s Coxed Four crew, alongside Katherine Easton, Sophie Houston, Zara Collisson, and coxswain Nicholas Dunlop, after becoming back-to-back World Champions after surging to a gold medal at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The NSWIS winter athletes have made history over the weekend winning world cup medals and Crystal Globes while boxer Kaye Scott claimed a world championship silver medal.
