NSWIS swimmers have collected a huge swag of medals at the 2011 Para-Pan Pacific Championships in Canada, a great sign with just over one year to go until the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Matthew Levy’s outstanding meet started on day one of competition with gold in the men’s S7 50m butterfly, a result soon followed by gold in the men’s S7 50m freestyle, S7 100m freestyle and men’s 4x100m freestyle 34 point relay, silver in the men’s SM7 200m individual medley and bronze in the men’s SB7 100m breaststroke.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Andrew Pasterfield joined Levy in Australia’s relay triumph, complementing gold with silver in the men’s S10 100m freestyle as well as bronze in the men’s S10 100m butterfly and men’s S10 50m freestyle.

NSWIS athlete Jacqui Freney was flying high for the women, picking up silver medals in the women’s S8 400m freestyle, S8 50m freestyle, S8 100m freestyle and bronze in the women’s S8 100m backstroke.
