In partnership with Athletics Australia and Athletics NSW, the NSWIS Athletics Program aims to deliver multiple benchmark event medals and performances through expertise, facilities and our collaborative approach to performance across all athletics disciplines.

The NSWIS Athletics Program has produced many internationally successful athletes including Paralympic superstars Kurt Fearnley and Louise Sauvage. Both athletes have the distinction of competing at both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Fearnley is a three time Paralympic gold medallist and has won marathons around the world including the prestigious New York, London and Chicago marathons multiple times. He has also crawled the Kokoda Track and sailed on a winning Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race crew.

Sauvage is Australia’s most decorated Paralympian with an incredible nine gold and four silver Paralympic medals along with two Olympic gold medals from the Sydney Olympic Games and currently coaches athletes at NSWIS.
