Paddle Australia’s Canoe Slalom team will continue its 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup campaign this week, with the second World Cup of the season taking place in Prague, Czechia from 5-7 June.

Following the opening World Cup in Slovenia, Australia’s athletes will again take on the world’s best as the international season builds towards the 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Oklahoma, USA, the venue that will host canoe slalom at the LA2028 Olympic Games.

Olympic gold medalist Noemie Fox is looking forward to returning to one of her favourite stops on the World Cup circuit as the Australian team continues its journey through a crucial year on the road to LA2028.

“I’m most looking forward to Prague, I love being in Prague, it feels like my second home in Europe,” the New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS) scholarship holder said.

“I still feel like Paris was last year and that I’m only just recovering from Paris, and then this year’s already an Olympic qualifying race for LA, and suddenly we’re all shifting to thinking about LA.

“There are nine races in total, and not all of them count, but you want to show up as your best in all disciplines across those nine races.

“My goal this year is to be as consistent as I can be, and definitely hoping for top 10 finishes. Consistency is super important and that’s what I’m striving for.”

The World Cup 2 program will begin with the men’s and women’s Kayak Heats and Finals on Friday, before the men’s and women’s Canoe Heats and Finals on Saturday, and will conclude with the Kayak Cross on Sunday.

The 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup 2 will be livestreamed on the Planet Canoe YouTube channel. Find the schedule and results for the event here.
