Australians go down in World Youth Water Polo opener

The Australian team at the 3rd FINA World Women’s Youth Water Polo Championships has gone down to Italy 10-7 in their opening match.

The 13 player Australia team includes nine players from the NSWIS.

Auckland is a familiar destination for the Australian under 18s, who played as two national teams at the 2014 Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival.

The Australian team’s next game is against the Netherlands tomorrow.
