Triathlete Aaron Royle has continued his stellar form by winning bronze at the Stockholm leg of the 2015 ITU World Triathlon Series over the weekend.

Fresh off qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games, Royle added a podium finish in Stockholm to his list of achievements with an excellent performance at one of the tougher triathlon courses in the series.

Royle came out of the swim leg in the top three competitors and managed to hold his position for the rest of the race, narrowly missing out on silver after a sprint to the line against a Portuguese competitor.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Ryan Bailie finished in sixth position, less than 20 seconds outside the medals, with Jacob Birtwhistle in 38th.

Natalie Van Coevorden placed 22nd in the elite women’s race with Charlotte McShane unable to finish.
