COVID-19 Update | Closure of NSWIS facility & training environments

The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) recognises and supports the directive to Australian sports and athletes by the Australian Olympic Committee and Paralympic Committee to prepare for a Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in the northern hemisphere summer of 2021.

In order to safeguard athlete and staff health at this time, effective immediately, NSWIS will cease delivery of all face to face athlete services and will implement remote service delivery. Our daily training environments and the NSWIS training facility are now closed until further notice.

We understand that this will be disappointing to many people, however the health and safety of our athletes, staff and NSW community is our priority.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep our athletes, staff and partners informed.
