Fearnley wins in Sydney

NSWIS wheelchair track & road star Kurt Fearnley has cruised to victory in the men’s wheelchair division of the 2013 Sydney Marathon over the weekend.

Fearnley posted a time of 1:39:15 to win by over 10 seconds from his nearest competitor, with fellow NSWIS athlete Richard Nicholson taking third in 1:54:35.

NSWIS athlete Christie Dawes, the sole competitor in the women’s wheelchair division, raced the clock to finish in a time of 2:01:23.
