The NSW Institute of Sport are delighted to announce the continuation of the partnership with FIA Fitnation, provider of fitness education to students all around Australia.

With an intimate knowledge of education and the fitness industry, FIA Fitnation strive to keep pace with changing industry trends, focusing on giving students the power to be the best fitness professional they can be.

Up to ten scholarships are on offer to NSWIS athletes each year as part of the arrangement, across SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness and SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness.

FIA Fitnation is one of two education partners of NSWIS, dove-tailing with the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE) to provide athletes with excellent support in their studies and career development.

Personal Excellence Advisor at the NSW Institute of Sport, Rhian Bird, is thrilled to see this partnership renewed for another year.

“The scholarships on offer from both FIA Fitnation and ACPE are extremely beneficial to our athletes, not only do they help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with studying, they also help support the flexible learning arrangements often needed by our athletes” said Bird.

“The courses on offer are of great variety and can help reinforce the skills, interests and career paths of our athletes here at the NSWIS.

“Personal Excellence works with our athletes to apply and maintain these scholarships as a way to kick start their post-year 12 study, to seek out further education later in life, or to gain experience in areas of interest to them.

“Our team in PE are ecstatic to hear these opportunities will continue to be offered to our athletes, and are excited at the potential of our athletes studying with FIA and ACPE.”

Natalie Daniel, Head FIA Fitnation and Director VET Operations, welcomes the continued relationship with the NSW Institute of Sport.

“We also look forward to our continued relationship with NSWIS and within this to supporting your athletes in their study journey” said Daniel.
