Five athletes headed to Shanghai

Five NSWIS women’s water polo players have been selected for the Australian Stingers to compete at 2011 FINA Aquatic World Championships later this month.

Leading the way are Olympians Rebecca Rippon and Alicia McCormack, who will help in guiding fellow NSWIS athletes Holly Lincoln-Smith, Nicola Zagame and Keesja Gofers to success in Shanghai.

The Stingers have been drawn in a group with Canada, New Zealand and Uzbekistan.

The 2011 FINA Aquatic World Championships take place in Shanghai, China from July 16-31 2011.
