The Australian Gliders have finished with a victory at the Continental Clash, defeating Japan to secure the bronze medal and complete their European tour.

On Thursday night, the Australian Wheelchair Basketball women’s team faced a Semi Final clash against Germany but after a quick start by the opposition, Australia struggled to get back into the contest. The Gliders trailed by nine at quarter-time and 15 at half-time but an impressive third term from the Gliders helped eat into that margin before they ultimately fell, 51-71.

The Continental Clash bronze medal follows a bronze medal at the World Super Cup earlier this week with the two international tournaments further providing experience for the team in the lead-up to the AOZ qualifiers in November.
