Hockey quintet secures selection

Five NSWIS hockey players have been selected on the Australian women’s hockey team to contest the 2014 FIH Hockey World Cup in the Netherlands.

Leading the selections are two time Olympian Casey Eastham and Kate Jenner, who were both part of the Hockeyroos’ 2010 World Cup campaign in which they finished fifth.

London Olympian Emily Smith will line up for the team alongside her childhood friend Kellie White, with Emily Hurtz also included. Hurtz is based in the Netherlands and plays under former NSWIS scholarship holder and member of the NSWIS Most Outstanding, Alyson Annan.

The World Cup takes place in the Hague, Netherlands, from 31 May – 15 June 2014.
