McCulloch makes golden return

Kaarle McCulloch returned to the UCI Track World Cup over the weekend, taking gold with compatriot Stephanie Morton in the women’s team sprint.

McCulloch, who returned to international competition following an injury plagued year, was awarded gold with Morton before the final ride-off after the German pair had to withdraw from the competition because of illness.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Peter Lewis was also in action, finishing seventh in the men’s sprint.

The next UCI Track World Cup takes place in Manchester, UK from December 5-7.
