The multitalented Nerida Stewart has been appointed Head Coach of the NSW Institute of Sport Netball Program.

Involved in netball for over 35 years as a player, selector and coach, Stewart joins NSWIS from the Central Coast Heart where she was Head Coach of the U20’s, as well as from Netball NSW where she is currently the Head Coach of the NSW U17 State Team.

Whilst on the court, Stewart played alongside legends of the game such as Liz Ellis, Catherine Cox, Alison Broadbent and Megan Anderson to name a few, and represented the Sydney Swifts and NSW at national level.

Since retiring from her playing career, Stewart coached junior netballers on the Central Coast at club level with great success before coaching higher levels and eventually becoming Head Coach of the U20’s at the Central Coast Heart.

Stewart will retain her position with Netball NSW whilst her U17 squad competes at the National Championships in Adelaide.
