Eight NSWIS athletes have been selected on the Australian Flame team heading to the 2015 IAAF Athletics World Championships in Beijing.

The NSWIS contingent is headlined by discus thrower Dani Samuels, who is equal second in the current Diamond League standings and looking to match her world championship title win from 2009.

Joining Samuels will be fellow NSWIS athletes Ella Nelson (200m), Anneliese Rubie (400m, 4x400m), Madeline Heiner (3000m steeplechase, 5000m) and Michelle Jenneke (100m hurdles).

The men’s events see NSWIS athletes Brandon Starc (high jump), Nick Hough (110m hurdles) and Joshua Ralph (800m) line up for Australia.

The championships take place from 22-30 August in Beijing, China.
