NZ Open win for Delfour

NSWIS Olympian Lucien Delfour enjoyed a successful weekend with a victory in canoe slalom’s New Zealand Open.

Delfour put in a clean run in the K1 competition, taking the title ahead of Switzerland’s Martin Dougood by just 0.08 seconds.

The victory sets Delfour up nicely for next weekend’s Oceania championships. He said, “There’s work to be done before next weekend but I was definitely happy with the win.”
