NSWIS Individual Scholarship athletes Joany Badenhorst and Ben Tudhope have returned some excellent results overnight at the Europa Cup in Landgraaf, Netherlands.

The Para Snowboarders got the early race jitters out of their systems before the World Para Snowboard World Cup kicks off in Landgraaf this week.

Badenhorst finished strongly in the women’s SB-LL2 event, securing silver, two seconds behind last season’s overall World Cup winner Lisa Bunschoten.

The 23 year old has recently been named to co-captain the Winter Paralympic Team next year in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Tudhope placed third in the men’s banked slalom SB-LL2 in a time of 42.98, an outstanding achievement for the 17 year old NSWIS athlete.
