Sailors set for youth championships

Three NSWIS sailors have been selected on the Australian team to compete at the 2012 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championships in Ireland.

Leading the selections is 2010 youth world champion Paul Darmanin, who is making his third consecutive appearance at the championships. Darmanin will compete in the multihull class with crew Lucy Copeland.

Joining Darmanin are windsurfer Annalise Gilbert, who makes her second youth world championship appearance in as many years, and youth world championship debutant Sam Treharne, who will line up in the men’s windsurfer class.

The championships take place in Dublin, Ireland from July 12-21 2012.
