Samuels opens season in Germany

NSWIS athlete Dani Samuels opened her international season over the weekend with a fourth place finish at the Werfer Cup in Germany.

Competing in a strong field that included the 2011 world championship silver medallist, Samuels only managed to record three distances from six attempts, with her final throw being her best at 63.99m.

Elsewhere, fellow NSWIS athlete Brandon Starc finished eighth in the men’s high jump at the Golden Grand Prix in Japan with a leap of 2.15m.
