Three NSWIS athletes were on the podium at the Snowboard Cross World Cup in Germany overnight, with a magnificent one-two in the men’s event from Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin and Jarryd Hughes, and a silver medal for world leader Belle Brockhoff in the women’s event.

Pullin got out in front early in his final, avoiding some falls behind him to race away for a clear victory – his first World Cup win of the season. He was followed in by teammate Hughes to record an Australian (and Team NSWIS) gold and silver.

In the women’s event Brockhoff claimed her third podium finish in four races, coming away with the silver medal.

With the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics now less than a year away the NSWIS snowboard cross team are certainly putting themselves in the right position.
