Mogul skier Britteny Cox has made a solid start to the new year by finishing seventh at the latest world cup event in Calgary, Canada.

Cox qualified for the round of 16 in ninth place before narrowly missing out on the top six, finishing seventh to retain her ranking of fourth in the world.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Nicole Parks was in strong form, posting a personal best result of 11th in the women’s event to move 10 places up the world ranking to 20th. Taylah Paige-O’Neill finished 22nd overall.

In the men’s event NSWIS athlete Matt Graham finished 13th to move to sixth in the world rankings, with Brodie Summers and Sam Hall posting 29th and 40th place finishes, respectively in Calgary.

Elsewhere, NSWIS skeleton athlete John Farrow made his return to the ice at a world cup event in Winterberg, Germany, finishing 25th.
