Behind every great athlete is a great coach, and each year the NSWIS recognises the best in the business with the Southern Design Coach of the Year award.

Coaches nominated for this award have not only guided their athletes to success throughout 2017, but also demonstrated continuous improvements using innovative initiatives, which lead to outstanding results in competition.

The coaches named as finalists for the Southern Design Coach of the Year are:

  • Steve Desovich and Jerry Grossi (Winter Sports)
  • Myriam Fox (Canoe Slalom)
  • Brad McGee (Cycling)
  • Jake Michael (Canoe Sprint)
  • Louise Sauvage (Para-Athletics)
  • Chava Sobrino (Diving)

Managing Director for Southern Design Sam Safi is delighted to be a part of the NSWIS Awards again this year.

“Southern Design are proud to support the prestigious Coach of the Year Award because we know that continued support for NSWIS coaches and athletes is crucial for the ongoing success of the NSWIS as a whole” said Safi.

“We would like to wish all coaches and athletes all the very best at the 2017 NSWIS Awards”.
