With 120 days to go until the Paris Olympic Games, nine NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) for the 16-strong Aussie Stingers squad for the upcoming USA tour.

Departing Australia on April 2, the Aussie Stingers will head overseas for a two-week tour of the USA where they will also have the opportunity to play against reigning Olympic and world champions Team USA.

The NSWIS athletes include Zoe Arancini, Keesja Gofers, Sienna Green, Bronte Halligan, Sienna Hearn, Danijela Jackovich, Tilly Kearns, Genevieve Longman and Ruby Swadling.

Aussie Stingers Head Coach Bec Rippon said: “This tour is a chance to check on how we’re going after the camp (at the Australian Institute of Sport), and at how we’re physically and tactically tracking against the best team in the world currently.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how the group come together after this time together in camp, and it’s also a good chance for us to be able to see how certain players are going in that competitive game environment.

“It will be a short tour to the US, but we’ve got a lot coming up when we get back, including a short camp before the Australian Waterpolo League Finals (Sydney) and then final selections, so it’s a busy few months ahead!”
