Winter athletes presented scholarships in Jindabyne

An enjoyable evening at the Jindabyne Sport & Recreation Centre’s Moguls Restaurant was the occasion for the 2017 formalities of the NSWIS Winter Sports program.

Following the best snow day of the season, the celebrations continued as 30 athletes from Winter Sports were officially presented with their scholarships for the year.

Hosted by Peter “Toppa” Topolovic, the NSW Institute of Sport welcomed athletes, guests, sponsors, and friends from the winter sports community. NSWIS Board Member Joseph Carozzi was on hand to present athletes with their scholarship certificates.

It was the final chance for the winter athletes from Team NSWIS to meet all together prior to setting off for seasons here and overseas. Many won’t see each other again until the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics next year.
