Women’s water polo teams set for Rio

The eight women’s water polo teams competing at the 2016 Olympic Games have been confirmed following the final Olympic qualification tournament in the Netherlands.

The top four teams from the tournament secured their places in Rio, with the USA winning gold over Italy, and Russia defeating Spain in the bronze medal match.

The four teams join Australia, Hungary, China and Brazil in the Olympic tournament that is set to begin on 5 August.
