NSWIS athlete, James Willett, has continued on the path towards the Tokyo 2020 Olympics by claiming a podium position at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun in Changwon, Korea.

The Institute’s individual scholarship holder shot three perfect rounds in qualification before missing just one target in the final to secure the bronze medal.

“Stoked with my performance here at Changwon,” Willett commented after the medal ceremony.

“It was [a] really tough final but I’m proud to come away with a medal for Australia!”

The result builds upon the sharpshooter’s gold medal at the Acapulco World Cup in March, showing fine form ahead of June’s World Championships in Lonato (Italy).
