Rheed McCracken has broken the world record in the T34 100m at the Swiss National Championships in Arbon.

In a record breaking time of 14.92 seconds, NSWIS athlete McCracken took gold.

Angie Ballard, Madison de Rozario and Kurt Fearnley were also competing in Arbon, and all clocked up a number of top five finishes.

It was a successful weekend for NSW Institute of Sport in the athletics, not solely in Switzerland.

Madeline Hills placed 13th in the 5000m at the Prefont. Classic in the USA, a World Championships Qualifer event. James Turner clocked a personal best time in the 400m at the Gold Coast Meet, whilst Sarah Walsh made 4.94m in the long jump.
