New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS) scholarship holders played a key role as the Australian Rowing Team claimed nine medals at World Cup III in Lucerne, Switzerland, the final international regatta before the 2026 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam next month.

NSWIS athletes contributed to five of Australia’s nine medals:

  • Georgina Rowe – Silver, Women’s Four

  • Patrick Holt, Alex Nichol and Nicholas Dunlop – Bronze, Men’s Eight
  • Tara Rigney – Bronze, Women’s Single Sculls
