New South Wales have completed the Hockey U21 Australian National Championships in fine fashion, securing gold for the men & women in Wollongong after a week long event.

Taking place at Illawarra Hockey Stadium, the 2017 tournament has been a chance for teams from all over the country to test themselves against one another in a competitive environment.

NSW Institute of Sport, in partnership with Hockey Australia and Hockey NSW, provided performance analysis and support for all teams at the recent U21 Australian Championships in Wollongong, NSW.

The Under 21 Men, coached by Olympic gold medalist and head of the NSWIS hockey program Brent Livermore, contained 11 NSWIS scholarship holders and were dominant throughout the week to claim the gold.

In the Women, the Under 21 side featured 13 NSWIS scholarship holders, and took out the gold medal following an excellent week on the field.
