Financial advisor John Pidgeon shared a wealth of experience and knowledge to NSWIS athletes at a recent Financial Wellness Program.

The initiative by the Australian Institute of Sport was well attended by athletes from a cross section of sports.

15 athletes from water polo, rowing, cycling, wheelchair basketball and hockey took part, learning lessons that are hoped will set them up for greater financial certainty in the future.

Athletes were given a range of information, with sessions focusing on four areas:

  • Cash Flow and Budgeting Plans
  • Mindset to Invest and Tax Consideration
  • Wealth Creation and Business Skills
  • Long Term Wealth Plan

Athlete Wellbeing & Engagement is an important service which the NSW Institute of Sport delivers to athletes. Find out more about what we do here.
